Edu Services
Good education means that both teachers and learners, in different roles, share responsibility for their activities in teaching. Teachers should know the relevant criteria for good teaching and be able to use teaching techniques to apply these criteria effectively. Learners should know what learning strategies they can use to build lifelong competencies.
To support good quality education at D-BAUG, EdBAUG Services provides information, resources, and training for faculty and students at D-BAUG:
- The course "Ethics and Scientific Integrity for Doctoral Students of D-BAUG" is is offered by D-BAUG at least once each semester. It sensitizes doctoral students to ethical issues that may arise during their doctorate at D-BAUG.
- The "BAUG Brown Bags" (BBB) are one-hour, practice-oriented events over lunchtime and address topics in teaching specifically at the D-BAUG. The website delivers information about dates and topics of upcoming and past events.
- The Group Teaching Service is offered at the beginning of the semester break to assist faculty and teaching assistants with educational questions and issues that may arise during the semester at D-BAUG.
- The "Educational Technologies" website provides a collection of specialized edu technologies with brief information and access to subscriptions or software licenses.
- The "Competencies for students" website delivers information and links for lecturers and students to the ETH competency framework for students including the description of the nine relevant interdisciplinary competencies.
