Competencies for Students at D-BAUG

The profile of a D-BAUG graduate includes competencies in intellectual and scientific theory (subject-specific competencies) and a broad repertoire of methodological, social and personal competencies to address the most pressing but also unknown issues of the three Grand Challenges (urbanisation, future-oriented infrastructure, changing environment) responsibly, critically and, above all, effectively.
The Competence framework of ETH project provides further information about the competencies, why they matter for students' personal and professional development.
Interdisciplinary competencies at D-BAUG
A catalog of interdisciplinary competencies (Kompetenzkatalog; in German only) was already created in 2017 as part of the study program initiative in geospatial engineering 2017-2020. The catalog contains nine competencies that were considered relevant for the bachelor's degree program in geospatial engineering.
If you need more information about studying or teaching interdisciplinary competencies, please get in contact with Christian Sailer.
