Woodland versus wind turbine

Special permission is required to clear forest in Switzerland. Until now, the system has worked well. However, plans to increase wind and solar electricity generation could increase conflicts. This is shown by a study led by David Troxler and Adrienne Grêt-Regamey, D-BAUG Professor of Planning Landscape and Urban Systems.
Glaciologist Harry Zekollari receives award for his research

As an early career scientist, Harry Zekollari has already made outstanding contributions to glaciology, for example with his modelling of global glacier evolution. For his achievements and commitment, he now receives the Arne Richter Award from the European Geosciences Union (EGU).
New CAS programme on sustainability and regeneration

The Executive Board has approved the regulations for the new continuing education programme at D-BAUG, Certificate of Advanced Studies ETH in Regenerative Systems: Sustainability to Regeneration. The regulations will go into effect on 1 April 2023.
