ETH Medal for PhD theses

Every year, outstanding doctoral theses are recognized with the ETH Medal. In 2022, four young D-​BAUG researchers were honored with this award. The medals are awarded during the Doctoral Awards Ceremony by Rector Günther Dissertori. Congratulations!

Athanasios Agalianos

Athanasios Agalianos, thesis title: "Strike-slip Faulting and Interaction with Structures: A Combined Numerical and Experimental Study" (Supervisor: Prof. Ioannis Anastasopoulos)

Athanasios now is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Chair of Geotechnical Engineering led by Professor Ioannis Anastasopoulos.

Remo Wagner

Paul Remo Wagner, thesis title: "Stochastic Spectral Embedding in Forward and Inverse Uncertainty Quantification" (Supervisor: Prof. Bruno Sudret)

Paul now works as risk engineer at external page Matrisk.
