ETH Medal for PhD theses
Every year, outstanding doctoral theses are recognized with the ETH Medal. In 2022, four young D-BAUG researchers were honored with this award. The medals are awarded during the Doctoral Awards Ceremony by Rector Günther Dissertori. Congratulations!

Athanasios Agalianos, thesis title: "Strike-slip Faulting and Interaction with Structures: A Combined Numerical and Experimental Study" (Supervisor: Prof. Ioannis Anastasopoulos)
Athanasios now is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Chair of Geotechnical Engineering led by Professor Ioannis Anastasopoulos.

Ana Stritih, thesis title: "Risk-Based Assessments of Ecosystem Services: Addressing Uncertainty in Mountain Forest Management" (Supervisor: Prof. Adrienne Grêt-Regamey)
Ana is now a postdoctoral researcher at the external page Chair of Ecosystem Dynamics and Forest Management at the Technical University of Munich.

Daniel J. Reck, thesis title: "Modelling Travel Behaviour with Shared Micro-Mobility Services and Exploring their Environmental Implications" (Supervisor: Prof. Kay Axhausen)
Daniel now works as transport engineer for external page Transports publics genevois tpg, in their network planning team.

Paul Remo Wagner, thesis title: "Stochastic Spectral Embedding in Forward and Inverse Uncertainty Quantification" (Supervisor: Prof. Bruno Sudret)
Paul now works as risk engineer at external page Matrisk.
