ETH Zurich may grant scholarships to students if their own resources and those of their immediate family are insufficient and they achieve well academically. Scholarships include the waiver of tuition fees.
Scholarship applications must be on a special form to the scholarship office. More information can be found here.

The aim of the external page Geomatics Alumni Association is to nurture and maintain contacts between geomatic engineers. Anyone can become a member who has a Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Geomatics.

Cadastral surveying plays an important role in the practical activities of geomatic engineers. Cadastral surveying that results in a change in legal status may only be carried out by holders of the federal licence for engineering surveyors. They must also be entered in the register of engineering surveyors.

Candidates who can prove that they have sufficient theoretical knowledge are admitted to take the state examination. Successful graduates receive a certificate signed by the head of the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport (VBS) and the president of the Commission of Surveyors.
