Mentoring Programme
Join us for the Mentoring Programme Kick-Off on 4 December 2024, where current mentor-mentee pairs will share their insights and strategies with interested doctoral students and new mentors. This session will provide valuable guidance on how to make the most of this programme in the coming year. Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with our mentoring community and prepare for a successful year ahead. More information and registration here.
Spotlight Seminar Series
Just before the summer break, the third edition of the Spotlight Seminar Series took place featuring outstanding female academics. This time around, the GDK hosted an engaging session on Geospatial Modelling Challenges, with Professor Somayeh Dodge from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and Ms Allison Craddock from the International GNSS Service (IGS) and NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The discussions were dynamic, and the conversation continued at the subsequent apéro, drawing around 70 enthusiastic participants.
Kangaroo Goes Science Day
Also in June, D-BAUG once again joined forces with D-MAVT to host The Kangaroo Goes Science Day, welcoming 100 teenage girls for a day of exploration and inspiration. The event featured interactive workshops and activities designed to inspire young women’s interest in STEM careers and had a remarkable impact on the participants and the community.
