Work and Family
During the child’s first year of age, nursing mothers have legal claim for external pagepaid nursing hours during working time. This also applies to expressing breastmilk. An overview of rooms that can be used for breastfeeding and/or diapering at the various ETH Zurich locations is provided by the Safety, Security, Health and Environment administrative department (SSHE) here.

Inclusive Language
Inclusive language does not discriminate, reflect prejudice against, or perpetuate stereotypes. It is a vital tool to maintain and foster a diverse, welcoming, and inclusive environment. Guidelines developed by EPFL are summarized external page here.
Departmental Support
Prof. Dr. Ioannis Anastasopoulos, department head of BAUG, has open office hours when students and faculty alike can meet with him.
Inappropriate behaviour and conflicts in the workplace
Even at ETH Zurich, there can be tensions and conflicts in the study and workplace. There is no tolerance for behaviours that violate personal integrity and contradict the principles set out in the Compliance Guide and the Download Respect Code of Conduct (PDF, 477 KB). These include discrimination, bullying, bossing and sexual harassment. "Regulations for members of ETH Zurich regarding concerns about and reporting of inappropriate behaviour and conflicts in the workplace" are a support for clarifying, reporting and resolving conflictual issues.
