Master's thesis

The Master's thesis takes place in the final semester of the programme. It is a demonstration of the students’ ability to work independently, and in a structured and scientific manner.

Students are only permitted to commence the Master’s thesis if they have

  • successfully completed their Bachelor's degree programme,
  • have met all the requirements for admission to the Master's degree programme and

The Master's thesis is supervised by a professor. Students discuss the topic on their own initiative with the supervisor. Enrolment via myStudies must be completed before starting work. Further information can be found on the Download information sheet (PDF, 157 KB).

The start and submission dates are published at dates and events.

20 credits are awarded for a successful Master's thesis.
