Workshop discussion: "Wood at the limit"

A cosy wooden chalet? No problem. A tall building in wood-concrete hybrid construction? Also no problem (anymore)!

Wood is not only cosy, but also has a lot of innovation potential as a sustainable building material. And the hybrid construction method scores above all in terms of sustainability and efficiency in construction.

Andrea Frangi, Professor of Timber Structures at the D-BAUG of ETH Zurich, and the doctoral student, Katharina Müller, test such composite constructions to the limit: the new workshop talk from the ETH Zurich test laboratory and the tallest wooden building in Switzerland.
