5th day of Geomatic Engineering
How is our going to be measured? What do we learn from the gained spatial data? And to what extent do these data enable us to design our future living space sustainably? Answers will be given on November 13th on the Day of Geomatics.

This year's external page Geomatics Day hosted by ETH Zurich and the FHNW will be held in Aarau on Wednesday, November 13, as part of the external page 200th anniversary of the Kern Company (Leica Geosystems). The program involves subject-related topics given by Leica Geosystems and by the city museum of Aarau and it also provides insights into the versatility of the field of geomatics.
An interactive exhibition with information stands and hands-on activities is open to all interested people.
For school classes, 45-minute modules will be offered, in which the students get to know the various aspects of geomatics, which are also relevant in everyday life. The modules are also connected to teaching in geography, computer science, physics or mathematics and cover topics as maps, spatial orientation, programming and augmented/virtual reality.
The detailed program and online enrollment for school classes will be available on the external page Geomatics Day website from mid-August.
