Short Bio
Federico received his Bachelor's degree in applied mathematics, with honors, from the Politecnico di Torino in 2021, and his Master's degree in computational sciences and engineering from EPFL in 2024. Moreover, he gained professional experience as a computational engineering at a start-up in Lausanne.
Federico has joined the SMM Chair on April 1st, 2025, to work on the ESTRA project, which forms a collaboration with SBB, as well as the Chairs of Nonlinear Dynamics (Dr. Paolo Tiso), Dynamical Systems and Control (Prof. Emilio Frazzoli) and Transport Planning and Systems (Prof. Francesco Corman) at ETH Zürich. He will focus on the development of reduced-order models under uncertainty for the train-track interaction system.
