Mostafa Kiani Shahvandi is a geoscientist working on the development of new mathematical algorithms for solving practical problems in the field of geodetic science. He obtained his BSc and MSc in the field of geoscience at University of Tehran and joined the group of Space Geodesy at Institute of Geodesy and Photogrammetry, ETH Zurich in September 2020.

Mostafa's current focus is on the development of novel Machine Learning algorithms for processing big data in geodesy. From sequence modelling for GNSS and EOP time series analysis and prediction to graph neural networks for geodetic network analysis, he is investing in the state-of-the-art data science approaches to properly address the high-precision demands of geodetic problems.
