Stefanie Heyden's current research revolves around the mechanics and physics of soft condensed matter.
Stefanie Heyden obtained her Ph.D. in Applied Mechanics under the guidance of Prof. Michael Ortiz (Graduate Aerospace Laboratories, Caltech, USA). She worked as a Humboldt fellow with Prof. Sergio Conti (Institute for Applied Mathematics, University of Bonn, Germany), before joining the group of Prof. Eric Dufresne (Soft and Living Materials, ETH Zurich, Switzerland) as an Oberassisstentin. At present, she leads an independent SNF Ambizione project within the Computational Mechanics Group of Prof. David Kammer (ETH Zurich, Switzerland).
