My research interests are blockchain, decentralized governance, IoT (Internet of Things), digital fabrication, sustainability in the AEC industry, computer-aided design.
Hongyang Wang obtained her Master degree in Integrated Building Systems at ETH. She conducted her master thesis with Prof. Dr. Daniel M. Hall on the topic of no1s1, a self-owning house. Prior to her study, she was a research assistant at the Institute of Technology in Architecture with Prof. Dr. Philippe Block where she assisted on the prototype HiLo at NEST, Empa. During her bachelor study, she was trained as an architect at the University of Miami, and she practised at numerous architecture offices, from renowned international firms to independent labs. She was involved in large international exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art, NYC and at Art Basel Design Week, Miami. Additionally, she was a student leader and she was awarded student of the year by the American Institute of Architects, Miami chapter.
