Additional information

Lukas Bodenmann received his bachelor degree of civil engineering from ETH Zurich in September 2014. After an internship in an engineering office he continued his studies at ETH with strong interests in earthquake engineering, probability theory and risk and reliability analysis.

After graduation in 2017, he joined the asset management team for engineering structures at the Swiss federal railway operator (SBB). There Lukas worked closely with project planning and inspection teams by providing technical assistance and improving existing guidelines for the design of new bridges and maintenance of existing structures. He engaged in the analysis of existing and the development of new data models for engineering structures to gain additional insights for long-term planning.

Since August 2019 Lukas is a PhD student at the Chair of Structural Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering. His research focuses on seismic performance measures and their application to different spatial and temporal scales.
